The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington , DC 20500

Mr. Obama:

I have had it with you and your administration, sir. Your conduct on your
recent trip overseas has convinced me that you are not an adequate
representative of the United States of America collectively or of me
personally.

You are so obsessed with appeasing the Europeans and the Muslim world that
you have abdicated the responsibilities of the President of the United
States of America. You are responsible to the citizens of the United States.

You are not responsible to the peoples of any other country on earth. I
personally resent that you go around the world apologizing for the United
States telling Europeans that we are arrogant and do not care about their
status in the world.. Sir, what do you think the First World War and the
Second World War were all about if not the consideration of the peoples of
Europe? Are you brain dead ? What do you think the Marshall Plan was all
about?

Do you not understand or know the history of the 20th century? Where do you
get off telling a Muslim country that the United States does not consider
itself a Christian country? Have you not read the Declaration of
Independence or the Constitution of the United States? This country was
founded on Judeo-Christian ethics and the principles governing this country,
at least until you came along, come directly from this heritage. Do you not
understand this?

Your bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia is an affront to all Americans. Our
President does not bow down to anyone, let alone the king of Saudi Arabia.
You don’t show Great Britain, our best and one of our oldest allies, the
respect they deserve yet you bow down to the king of Saudi Arabia . How dare
you, sir!
How dare you!

You can’t find the time to visit the graves of our greatest generation
because you don’t want to offend the Germans but make time to visit a mosque
in Turkey . You offended our dead and every veteran when you give the
Germans more respect than the people who saved the German people from
themselves.

What’s the matter with you?

I am convinced that you and the members of your administration have the
historical and intellectual depth of a mud puddle and should be ashamed of
yourselves, all of you. You are so self-righteously offended by the big
bankers and the American automobile manufacturers yet do nothing about the
real thieves in this situation, Mr. Dodd, Mr. Frank, Franklin Raines, Jamie
Gorelic, the Fannie Mae bonuses, and the Freddie Mac bonuses. What do you
intend to do about them? Anything? I seriously doubt it.

What about the U.S. House members passing out $9.1 million in bonuses to
their staff members – on top of the $2.5 million in automatic pay raises
that lawmakers gave themselves? I understand the average House aide got a
17% bonus.I took a 5% cut in my pay to save jobs with my employer.

You haven’t said anything about that. Who authorized that? I surely didn’t!
Executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will be receiving $210 million in
bonuses over an eighteen-month period, that’s $45 million more than the AIG
bonuses. In fact, Fannie and Freddie executives have already been awarded
$51 million – not a bad take. Who authorized that and why haven’t you
expressed your outrage at this group who are largely responsible for the
economic mess we have right now.

I resent that you take me and my fellow citizens as brain-dead and not
caring about what you idiots do. We are watching what you are doing and we
are getting increasingly fed up with all of you. I also want you to know
that I personally find just about everything you do and say to be offensive
to every one of my sensibilities. I promise you that I will work tirelessly
to see that you do not get a chance to spend two terms destroying my
beautiful country.

marys_little_lambMary, had a Little Lamb,

His fleece was White as snow.

And everywhere That Mary went,

The Lamb was sure To go.

He followed her To school each day,

T’wasn’t even in The rule.

It made the Children laugh and play,

To have The Lamb At school.

And then the Rules all changed one day,

Illegal it became;

To bring The Lamb Of God to school,

Or even speak His Name!

Every day got Worse and worse,

And days turned Into years.

Instead of Hearing children laugh,

We heard gun Shots and tears.

What must we do To stop the crime,

That’s in our Schools today?

Let’s let The Lamb come back to school,

And teach our kids to pray!

My daughter, Kimmy, has gone into labor a month and a half early.  Please pray for her and the baby boy, as his lungs may not be quite developed yet.  I am not certain if she is going to give birth tonight or if they are going to be able to slow the contractions and prolong the birth.  She is 3 cm dilated and was rushed to Savannah Memorial Hospital late tonight, her husband, Jeff is meeting her there.

Thank you,

-Scott and Patty

As Christians we often tend to condemn rather than include. Why is the neighborhood bar so popular? What is its draw?

In their book, “The Edge of Adventure“, Keith Miller and Bruce Larson wrote:
“The neighborhood bar is possibly the best counterfeit there is to the fellowship Christ wants to give his church. It’s an imitation, dispensing liquor instead of grace, escape rather than reality, but it is a permissive, accepting, and inclusive fellowship. It is unshockable, it is democratic. You can tell people secrets and they usually don’t tell others or even want to. The bar flourishes not because most people are alcoholics, but because God has put into the human heart the desire to know and be known, to love and be loved, and so many seek a counterfiet at the price of a few beers.”

They go on to say:”With all my heart I believe that Christ wants his church to be unshockable, democratic, permissive–a fellowship where people can come in and say, “I’m beat!” “I’ve had it!” Alcoholics Anonymous has this quality. Our churches too often miss it.”

I know this to be true, because I have been there and still feel a yearning for the open acceptance so often found in the bar.
There is little left to say except to pray. “Holy God, forgive us,… me… , your Church, for becoming shockable and judgmental. I am no better than the worst of sinners, for I am he. Except by your grace and mercy, I too would be seeking a counterfeit instead of You. Compel us, the church, to be the open welcoming Christians you would have us be.”

Heather is 15 yrs old and is in the hospital.  Her Dr. is out of town and we need his partner to be available for surgury tonight, or else she will have to continue until monday enduring abdominal pain.

Please pray for the Dr.’s availability, her safety in surgery and her recovery.

She is the daughter of Gary (police officer), one of our church members.

Thank you,

-Scott

Joe Duby, started out with rectal cancer, moved to the pelvis, now to the liver. thought they got rid of it all, but apparenty not. He has a colostapy bag and cath, currently he is in Good Sam as I write this for more chemo. Has hole in bladder.

Prayer is requested by his sister and himself.

Please pray for him, his sister (Jeanette Duby) and the family..

Thank you.

UPDATE:

via Jaenette’s Facebook:

To all who prayed for us, Joe went to be with the Lord tonight(9-16-2009) at 6:25pm on his birthday, how appropriate. He and mom were alone. I had just left 15 minutes prior so it was just the two of them together in the end as it was in the beginning of his life 40 years ago today. Thank you for all the support, please continue to pray for our family.

There is a little boy named Thomas, that is only 7 yrs old and is in very bad health.  He will be needing a heart and lung sometime in the near future, but he struggles everyday.  His family is also struggling as a result.  Please pray for him, and his family, and that whatever is in God’s will be done.  This may indeed be something the Lord is using to bring that family closer to Him and to Glorify His name.

—Thank you

Christians , What a Weird Bunch

A. W. Towzer, (A favorite teacher of mine) wrote… “A Real Christian is an odd number anyway. He feels supreme love for One whom he has has never seen, talks familiarly every day to Someone he cannot see, expects to go to heaven on the virtue of Another, empties himself in order to be full, admits he is wrong so he can be declared right, goes down in order to get up, is strongest when he is weakest, richest when he is poorest, and happiest when he feels worst. He dies so he can live, forsakes in order to have, gives away so he can keep, sees the invisible, hears the inaudible, and knows t hat which passeth knowledge.”

Now THAT sounds pretty weird, foolish even…

However, Paul the apostle (another favorite teacher) wrote in 1 Corinthians 1…. “For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom,…” (v25) and “But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise…” (v27) And in chapter 2… “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him….” (v14)

Yeah, in the minds of non-Christians, I guess we seem pretty foolish and weird. But Jim Elliot, the Christian martyr, summed it up best for me when he said, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.”

The truly amazing thing is that immediately upon receiving Christ as savior and truly believing in God, the Christian begins his journey to understand and gain “God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory…” (1 Cor. 2:7)

So, don’t fret if the world of unbelievers think you to be wierd or foolish… It has always been so and is not likely to change before His returning. Take comfort in your “wierdness”. Celebrate it!!!

Why? Because, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him.
