I do not believe that God has given up on our country. He did not give up on Ninevah (Jonah 3). He was willing to save Sodom if there were even ten righteous men there (Genesis 18:32).

There are two things that I am going to begin praying for daily and I invite you to join me. If Jesus is Lord of your life, I invite you to share these prayer requests with your friends and family.

1. I pray that Jesus will make it obvious to all who are the sheep and who are the goats in Congress (Matthew 25:31-46). There are too many wearing sheepskins to cover their goathides. I also pray that he will raise up sheep to take the place of the goats in governing this country.
2. Isaiah 6:1-4 I pray that God’s glory will fill our country and be revealed to the world. I pray that his glory will shake the doorposts and thresholds of the Capitol Building.

Bret Lane is the brother in law of a very close friend.  He has Cron’s Disease and is now in ICU with a stomach full of infection.  The doctor’s feel he may not make it, but he can make it with the help of God.  Let us pray for him and ask God that if it is in His will, that he will survive, so that if he is in need of salvation, that his family may bring it to him.

My daughter, Kimmy, has gone into labor a month and a half early.  Please pray for her and the baby boy, as his lungs may not be quite developed yet.  I am not certain if she is going to give birth tonight or if they are going to be able to slow the contractions and prolong the birth.  She is 3 cm dilated and was rushed to Savannah Memorial Hospital late tonight, her husband, Jeff is meeting her there.

Joe Duby, started out with rectal cancer, moved to the pelvis, now to the liver. thought they got rid of it all, but apparenty not. He has a colostapy bag and cath,currently he is in Good Sam as I write this for more chemo. Has hole in bladder.

To all who prayed for us, Joe went to be with the Lord tonight(9-16-2009) at 6:25pm on his birthday, how appropriate. He and mom were alone. I had just left 15 minutes prior so it was just the two of them together in the end as it was in the beginning of his …life 40 years ago today. Thank you for all the support, please continue to pray for our family.

There is a little boy named Thomas, that is only 7 yrs old and is in very bad health.  He will be needing a heart and lung sometime in the near future, but he struggles everyday.  His family is also struggling as a result.  Please pray for him, and his family, and that whatever is in God’s will be done.  This may indeed be something the Lord is using to bring that family closer to Him and to Glorify His name.

A daily guide for parents to pray for their child. Any age child is still their child, and a parent can feel just a little more comfortable when she knows that her child is in her prayers. As God hears these prayers, we can find comfort that our children will be watched over.

• Monday:
  Ask the Lord to completely surround your children with emotional, physical, and spiritual protection.
• Tuesday:
  Pray that the Lord will strengthen your child’s faith and will fill them with a passionate desire to want to seek and know Him, His word and His will.
• Wednesday:
  Ask the Lord to give your children godly wisdom in choosing their friends and peers, and to give them the strength and courage to boldly take a stand for what is right.
• Thursday:
  Pray that the Lord would renew your children’s mind, helping them remain pure in their thoughts and deeds.
• Friday:
  Ask the Lord to extend His blessing over the activities of your children, both academic and extracurricular, giving them alertness and clarity of mind. Pray also for encouragement in their defeats and humility in their victories.
• Saturday:
  Pray that your children will be sensitive and compassionate to the needs of others, and that the Lord will help them act in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
• Sunday:
  Pray for, and seek blessings for those who are in authority over your children, asking the Lord to give them wisdom and understanding as they instruct your children.
