My daughter, Kimmy, has gone into labor a month and a half early. Please pray for her and the baby boy, as his lungs may not be quite developed yet. I am not certain if she is going to give birth tonight or if they are going to be able to slow the contractions and prolong the birth. She is 3 cm dilated and was rushed to Savannah Memorial Hospital late tonight, her husband, Jeff is meeting her there.

Kimmy spent the night at the hospital, Jeff by her side. Doctor says the meds are working and she had not dilated any further. They are observing her today and will determine where to go after this morning. We really need her to make it another week or two if possible before giving birth. When I spoke to her later last night, she was doing okay, she has a slight cold, but she sounded good otherwise. I am trying to get an update this morning.

As of about 10AM they had medically slowed the labor, no more dilation at that point, still contractions thru the morning, They are planning on staying thru the weekend at the Hospital, she is at Savannah Memorial, which is a good neo-natal facility, so she hopes to stay and give birth there. Jeff is still with her, but may have to report back (Army) at some point. I will continue to post updates…

Kimmy is likely to come home after Monday and let the little bambino finish up in the oven. They want to stabilize the labor and allow him to continue for a few more days or maybe a week + …. More will be known on Monday, the docs are making some decisions between now and then..

Kimmy came home today, they put her on oral labor control medication. They told her to get much bed rest and come back if anything happens before week 37. All is well.. Thank you to you all!

Hi Daddy! Thank you for keeping everyone up to date, and thank you and everyone else for your prayers! So far everything is going well and I can’t wait to meet my little boy!! Love you guys!

THE LATEST: She has been having contractions 6 mins apart for days, and they doctor feels she will have this baby this week(before the weekend). Praying that all will go well and he (the baby) will arrive healthy and without issue. Also that she comes through without issue as well. Thank you all for your prayers, I have let her know that many are praying. I will surely keep you informed.

UPDATE: It is almost 30 days later and Kimmy is back in the hospital now, went in at around 4:00 am. This time she is in until the baby is out! I am awaiting results and will keep you all posted… Thank you for the continuous prayers! By the way, today is Patty’s birthday also! So as long as she doesn’t have a 20+hour labor, they may share today.. Patty is excited, and so am I!
UPDATE: 7cm and painful contractions about 1-2 minutes apart.. Doctor says “Probably before noon”. SHe asked to pray for less pain. I didn’t want to tell her the Genesis story just yet.. Genesis 3:16 “Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children;..”
The baby was born 11:45 am, May 22, 2009. 6lbs-12oz, 19″ . 5 minutes of pushing and he was born. She has been in the hospital since about 2:30 am. Great Job Kimmy! Congratulations to Jeff and Kimmy!!!
