“Mary sat at Jesus’ feet, listening to what He taught” Luke 10:39

Let us notice Mary’s POSITION. She was sitting at the feet of Jesus. Most probably He was reclining on the couch, and she went and took her place behind Him, where she could hear what He said, and occasionally get a glimpse of His face.

It is the posture of HUMILITY–she took the lowest place. She had no wish to be seen, nor did she regard her own ease–she was intent on getting good from Jesus.

It was the posture of ATTENTION–she wished to catch every word, and to understand all that the Lord was saying. If Jesus is teaching–then Mary will attend and listen.

It was the posture of a LEARNER–she was a disciple of Jesus, therefore she sat down at His feet, that she may receive of His words. He need not now say unto her, “Learn of Me,” for she was most anxious to do so.

It was the posture of SATISFACTION–if she could but be within the sound of His voice, within the sight of His eye–it was enough for Mary. Anywhere with Jesus–would satisfy her!

It was also the posture of REPOSE–here at the feet of Jesus, she found rest unto her soul. Her desires were satisfied, her love was gratified, her hungry soul was fed. It was enough.

Being at the feet of Jesus was to her–a kind of earthly heaven.

Mary sat at the feet of Jesus in a humble cottage.
She now sits by His side in the heavenly mansion!

Reader, how is it with you?

Are you humble enough to take a seat at the feet of Jesus?

Is it your delight to listen to His words?

Are you like a little child desiring to learn of Him, and be taught by Him?

Are you satisfied–if you can but get near to Jesus?

Do you find sweet and refreshing repose in His presence?

Relax your mind and humble your heart to focus on Christ. Allow God to be the only person on your mind while you read this prayer.

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I’m blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness.

Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.

Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. Let me continue to see sin through God’s eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth my wrongdoing, and receive the forgiveness of God.

And when this world closes in on me, let me remember Jesus’ example — to slip away and find a quiet place to pray. It’s the best response when I’m pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can’t pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will.

Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those who are lost and can’t find their way.. I pray for those who are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don’t know You intimately.  I pray for those who don’t believe. But I thank you that I believe.

I believe that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for my  parents,  my children, my sisters and brothers. For every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met. I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight.  I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly..

Letter from Jesus about Christmas –

It has come to my attention that many of you are upset that folks are taking my name out of the season. How I personally feel about this celebration can probably be most easily understood by those  of you who have been blessed with children of your own. I don’t care what you call the day. If you  want to celebrate my birth, just GET ALONG AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

Now, having said that let me go on. If it bothers you that the town in which you live doesn’t allow a scene depicting my birth, then just get rid of a couple of Santas and snowmen and put in a small Nativity scene on your own front lawn.  If all my followers did that there wouldn’t be any need for such a scene on the town square because there would be many of them all around town.

Stop worrying about the fact that people are calling the tree a holiday tree, instead of a Christmas tree. It was I who made all trees. You can remember me anytime you see any tree. Decorate a grape vine if you wish: I actually spoke of that one in a teaching, explaining who I am in relation to you and what each of our tasks was. If you have forgotten that one, look up John 15: 1-8.

If you want to give me a present in remembrance of my birth, here is my wish list. Choose something from it:

1. Instead of writing protest letters objecting to the way my birthday is being celebrated, write letters of love and hope to soldiers away from home. They are terribly afraid and lonely this time of year. I know, they tell me all the time.

2. Visit someone in a nursing home. You don’t have to know them personally. They just need to know that someone cares about them.

3. Instead of writing the President complaining about the wording on the cards his staff sent out this year, why don’t you write and tell him that you’ll be praying for him and his family this year. Then follow up… It will be nice hearing from you again.

4. Instead of giving your children a lot of gifts you can’t afford and they don’t need, spend time with them. Tell them the story of my birth, and why I came to live with you down here. Hold them in your arms and remind them that I love them.

5. Pick someone that has hurt you in the past and forgive him or her.

6. Did you know that some in your town will attempt to take their own life this season because they feel so alone and hopeless? Since you don’t know who that person is, try giving everyone you meet a warm smile; it could make the difference.

7. Instead of nit picking about what the retailer in your town calls the holiday, be patient with the people who work there. Give them a warm smile and a kind word. Even if they aren’t allowed to wish you a “Merry Christmas” that doesn’t keep you from wishing them one. Then stop shopping there on Sunday. If the store didn’t make so much money on that day they’d close and let their employees spend the day at home with their families

8. If you really want to make a difference, support a missionary–especially one who takes my love and  Good News to those who have never heard my name.

9. Here’s a good one. There are individuals and whole families in your town who not only will have no “Christmas” tree, but neither will they have any presents to give or receive. If you don’t know them, buy some food and a few gifts and give them to the Salvation Army or some other charity which believes in me and they will make the delivery for you.

10. Finally, if you want to make a statement about your belief in and loyalty to me, then behave like a Christian. Don’t do things in secret that you wouldn’t do in my presence. Let people know by your actions that you are one of mine.

Don’t forget; I am God and can take care of myself. Just love me and do what I have told you to do. I’ll take care of all the rest. Check out the list above and get to work; time is short. I’ll help you, but the ball is now in your court. And do have a most blessed Christmas with all those whom you love and remember:

Good day all my friends,

I have so many people telling me that they are slipping away from God and no matter what they do or how hard they try they can’t get back. One of the many reasons why people get lost along the way is because they believe the lies of the devil. People all over are turning away from God because things keep going wrong and they just don’t have the energy to go on fighting and they lose faith and another thing is simply because things from the world are just too nice to give up. When friends ask us to party or to do something, we just cannot say no.
We as children of God must come to the point where we decide what is more important, God or the world. Do we say no to our friends or do we say no to God?

That is why I want to talk today about discipline….

To be a child of God is a choice and to stay a child of God is very hard work. By that I mean, you have to fight for God. It is amazing that you became a follower of Christ but my dear friend it does not stop there. You have to discipline yourself to read your bible and to pray. You have to make that decision not to fall back.
Let see what the bible says about that….

Pro 12:1 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.
Pro 5:23 He dies for lack of discipline, and because of his great folly he is led astray.

Temptation will always knock on your door and difficult times will always be there, things will never be just ok. We go trough seasons in our lives with everything. Now you feel strong in your faith and in a weeks time you feel so depressed you just want to give up. My friends God wants to see if you stay faithful to Him in Good and bad times. Some bad times go on for months but your reward at the end will be so much bigger. Once you are a child of God you are His forever, but its your duty to seek Him…to want Him…to go after Him.

Discipline yourself in your faith….God is worth your time and effort…His deserves is that you give up all the things of the world…

We as Christians will always have tough times…but heaven is worth it. Please hang in there, you are not alone!

Trust only in God, He will never let you down
Psa 118:8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.

This was posted on a site that I am a member of, today more then ever we need to stand up and be counted, time for talk, lets get to action….Inside this health care bill…… Yes, the Health Care Bill that was passed in the House this Saturday has a provision in it that officially eliminates your right to homeschool.

Dear “Representative”,

You do not know me, but I know you; for I have been watching your work in Congress very carefully. Unlike my previous letters and phone calls to the so called representatives in Washington DC, this is not a plea for my voice to be heard, and I am not going to ask that you “take my views into consideration” when you vote on legislation that can affectively eliminate my personal liberties. The time for pleas has come and gone, and so has my tolerance for your complete disregard of The Constitution. No, this letter is not coming in the form of a request, but more it should be regarded as a warning of what is to come for you and your colleagues on the Hill.

In August, 2009 thousands of Americans attended town hall meetings to voice their displeasure with the healthcare reform bill; you mocked us. On September 12, 2009, an estimated ONE MILLION patriotic Americans gathered on your front lawn to protest the growing strong arm of the government; you ignored us. On November 5, 2009 an estimated 40,000 Americans left their families and jobs on only days notice to protest the passage of “Pelosi/Obama-Care”; again you ignored and mocked us. We have taken every civilized measure to prevent the American Dream from morphing into a socialized nightmare, and yet we have been ignored.

We are done being ignored, and quite frankly we’re tired of being the only ones that are playing nicely. So we’ve decided to play the game your way; bat in hand and target in site. And who is our target, you may ask? Well…you are. Like our forefathers, the time has come to make war with our oppressors to preserve our freedoms. Unlike them, our weapon will be action, not artillery. Over the span of mere months we have built an army of millions, all willing to sacrifice their time, money and sweat to one cause, and that cause is to remove you from office and regain control of this country. From this day forward we will dedicate ourselves fully to the cause, and we will not stop until you have either agreed to abandon party politics and defend the Constitution with every vote you cast, or until you are removed from your position of power.

After we are finished organizing thousands of impassioned voters in your district to campaign against you, whether that be going door to door delivering handouts, financing commercials or supporting your opponents, we will move on to those entities that have pledged their financial support behind you. Slowly but surely we will expose every corrupt tie you have forged, every lie you have told, and every promise you have made to every special interest that backs you. The downfall of ACORN was just the beginning, and you can rest assured that you and the entities that have pledged their allegiance to your corrupt ways will not only suffer a similar fate, but all of the public humiliation that followed.

Like you, General Cornwallis underestimated the power and wrath of We The People before he was defeated by “mere farmers with pitchforks,” and like your career in politics, this miscalculation will be short-lived. We have put down our pens and picked up our pitchforks, and this is only the beginning.

I do not believe that God has given up on our country. He did not give up on Ninevah (Jonah 3). He was willing to save Sodom if there were even ten righteous men there (Genesis 18:32).

There are two things that I am going to begin praying for daily and I invite you to join me. If Jesus is Lord of your life, I invite you to share these prayer requests with your friends and family.

1. I pray that Jesus will make it obvious to all who are the sheep and who are the goats in Congress (Matthew 25:31-46). There are too many wearing sheepskins to cover their goathides. I also pray that he will raise up sheep to take the place of the goats in governing this country.
2. Isaiah 6:1-4 I pray that God’s glory will fill our country and be revealed to the world. I pray that his glory will shake the doorposts and thresholds of the Capitol Building.

It is written in the Bible (Galatians 6:7):

whatsoever a man sow, that shall he also reap..

Here are some men and women who mocked God :

John Lennon (Singer):
Some years before, during his interview with an American Magazine,
he said: ‘Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do
not have to argue about that.. I am certain.
Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more
famous than Him’ (1966).
Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ,
was shot six times.

Tancredo Neves (President of Brazil):
During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes
from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency.
Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President,
then he died.

Cazuza (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet):
During A show in Canecio ( Rio de Janeiro ), while
smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air
and said:’God, that’s for you.’
He died at the age of 32 of LUNG CANCER in a horrible manner.

The man who built the Titanic:
After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the
Titanic would be. With an ironic tone he said:
‘Not even God can sink it’
The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic

Marilyn Monroe (Actress)
She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a
show. He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her.
After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said:
‘I don’t need your Jesus’. A week later,
she was found dead in her apartment

Bon Scott(Singer)
The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he
sang: ‘Don’t stop me; I’m going down all the way, down the highway to
hell’.
On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked
by his own vomit.

Campinas (IN 2005)
In Campinas , Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a
friend….. The mother accompanied her to the car and was so
worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said
to the daughter holding her hand, who was already seated in the car:
‘My Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You.’
She responded: ‘Only If He (God) Travels In The Trunk, Cause
Inside Here…..It’s Already Full ‘
Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident,
everyone had died, the car could not be recognized what type of car
it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact.
The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact. To
their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none was broken

Christine Hewitt (Jamaican Journalist and entertainer)
said the Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written.
In June 2006 she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor
vehicle.

Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name
that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus.
Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still
alive.
